This was a quailty hotel experience for the price. Room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Housekeeping personnel were very courteous and always left the room in great condition. After a long day outdoors, it was always a pleasure returning to a comfortable, clean room. I can't say enought about the beds. Super comfortable. It was like sleeping in a cloud. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep. The pool area is beautiful and spacious. The only negative was the location. There is a Seven Eleven a few feet away, which was very convenient. However, you really need a car to get around. Luckily, we had a car. Overall, I found the hotel to have a relaxing and positive vibe to it. .. would definitely return and recommend it to friends.

The overall hotel was nice unfortunately the fact there is no shuttle provided to and from the airport is a problem. We were there for only one night as we were going on a cruise the next day and we spoke with the concierge to arrange travel from the hotel to the port and we thought all was well. The next morning when we went down to catch our ride there were numerous other customers waiting on rides and the concierge told my husband that I had called and changed our departure time and we were to leave later than anticipated. I never called to change anything but he was adamant. We ended up getting on a van that we had originally arranged for with so many other people I had to sit on my husbands lap and the bags were stacked so high it was very scary. I think the hotel was overwhelmed and under prepared for the entire situation.

We had four females in a room for a girls weekend. It was great to have the sink/vanity area outside the room- and also an additional sink near the mini-fridge and microwave. There were sufficient mirrors available. This hotel advertised an in room hair dryer- but we could not find it. The room was perfectly adequate- though nothing super special. As others have mentioned- the walls must be thin because you can hear everything going on in the hallway. The two double beds were a little snug- and the pillows were far too soft. They felt great at first but the next morning we all felt sore. We had great views from our 10th floor room- of the ocean and the inter coastal waterway and pool. We never walked across to the beach so I can't tell you what that was like- we drove further down and paid to park. We did have to pay $* per day to self park (or $* for valet). The worst thing was the walk from the parking lot to the front door...poor lighting and no side entry. Felt unsafe. Wouldn't make that walk by myself at night. Because we got a great rate, this was a good option for us. We were able to stay here, pay for parking, and rent a car for less money than the hotel alone would have cost us at some of the other places we considered. And it was nice to be able to drive to the Publix, Walmart, Panera, Burger King, etc. in about 5 minutes, the Aventura Mall in about 10-15 min, and the FLL airport in 20-25 min. The Hollywood Beach boardwalk was very charming. All in all, this place met our expectations and suited our needs for a weekend getaway.

The Crowne Plaza is a really nice and clean hotel and the workers are extremely customer service friendly. The hotel is right across the street from the beach... but if you're seeking something to eat.. the restaurants are all about 5-7 miles down the boardwalk. Taxi's in the area are expensive but the bus is a great way to get around if you don't have transportation, but the routes can be confusing but the hotel clergy will guide you wherever you need to go.

On the negative side: How is crossing a very busy six lane highway and walking two blocks considered on the beach? Business center computers, where you might want to go to print something, never worked the 7 days I was there. Restaurant is very pricey for the area. Pool is heated in the summer. Nice for the winter but an 88 degree pool is not very refreshing when the air is 90 degrees. Television never worked properly. Very small screen. Drive way is too small for volume of traffic. Parking fees are too high for the area. On the positive side: Staff was helpful as they could be given what they had to work with. Valet and front desk staff very friendly and courteous. Nice view of the inland waterway and the drawbridge over it. Pool area kept reasonably clean. Lots of towels. Rooms are good size. Balcony large enough to see a small piece of the ocean two blocks away.
