Overall, the stay was good. The hotel was very nice and clean, the suites were great. However, the hotel charges for everything. 20 Dollars a day plus tax to SELF park (valet was even more expensive), no self service laundry, they charged a ridiculous amount for that....no free internet, 10 dollars a day for that, so the trip cost a lot more than expected. Be prepared to shovel out some dough for this hotel. The intercoastal waterway is in view, but the beach is about a 10 to 15 minute walk, and you have to drive to get to the more popular parts of Fort Lauderdale

If youthe hotel. have a choice of staying in a Motel 6 or staying at this hotel.I would stay at the Motel 6..The Hotel Staff was very very very RUDE! noting on the web site matched the hotel.This is very very old hotel!..The Front desk mgr named M was very rude.. all the staff is half as i was suppose to stay for 7 nights instead i checked out 2 nights into my stay..My room @ the Embassy Suites alot beter staff is great ..DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.. you will not enjoy your stay at all.

I like the location of the Doubletree. It is near the Galleria with many fine restaurants and a nice food court. It is a short walk to the beach and a 30 minute walk to Ft. Lauderdale beach. The staff was friendly and responsive to requests. In the past there have been elevator delays, but all three elevators were working this time. I have stayed there several times and would do so again.

The Double Tree Hotel has the best service, I think it is the best hotel I ever stayed in, the suites are gorgeous, it has a stove, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, pots, everything you need for your stay, it is like a second home away from your home. The bathroom also is beautiful. I enjoyed my stay there very much.
